So, what's happening....?
Well I'm getting a lot of feedback on the blog and a similar question always pops up.....
What is this blog about?
Well, this blog is really about wellness and I love comedy, so there will always be funny posts to conclude the blog.
So, things have been going well and yes I have been on vacation, but I did not go to Chile. The photography caught my eye and I decided to post the pictures.
As for today's post, it will be on nutrition. I've been looking leaner these days mostly because of all the running around and basketball, yesterday's 3hr basketball game left me drained in sweat, but took my cardio to new heights.
My weight ranges from 180lbs and 185lbs. Depending on the time of year.
Here is a list of what I consume the most in my diet. 90% of it.
Proteins
Fish, chicken, steaks, Greek yogurt, eggs and egg whites
Carbs
Wild Rice, Long Grain Brown Rice, Steel Cut Oatmeal, Beans and Sweet Potatoes
Vegetables
Rapini, Broccoli, Egg Plant, Red Peppers, Spinach, Cucumbers
Fruits
Green Apples, Grapefruit, Blueberries, Strawberries, Raspberries and Bananas
Rules
I eat dairy and starches mostly in the first part of the day and towards the end of the day I eliminate them.
For those looking to lose weight, light cardio on an empty stomach will help you lose weight and keep muscle tone.
Have a great workout session!
This is so funny and true....
A simple blog to help others and myself achieve their best self... both mentally and physically.

A Success!
And another 5k completed...
After a huge week, both work wise and personal matters to handle, I found myself waking up this morning at 7am going.......arrrrrgh got to go do a 5km this morning in the rain....
A few months ago I was approached by my boss concerning a run in Rosemere that helped raise money for Juvenile diabetes. She told me to get as many employees to do this race as possible...little did I know I would be able to convince others to run this thing with me....after months of hassling everyone, I got a healthy number of participants.
The race was great! The weather was awful and my time was also. 29:30. The last 400m I took off like Jay Garrick (for u cool people!) and sprinted to the finish line, passing 10 people while having the time to wave to people and finish in style! To be honest with you guys I was there to have fun. Everyone did. I chatted with people along the way, prepared a wicked play-list on my iPod and was ready to do this again sometime soon. I was happy to see the people I influenced to do the race were there. It meant a lot to me. Especially 2 people in particular..... a woman who has lost 40+ the past year, quit smoking and fell in love with running and a guy who only powerlifts and never does cardio.........huge for me.
The spartan race was more of a challenge and I was a lot more excited by it, but guess what..... now that I have heard that you can win money winning the spartan race!!!! Bring it!!!
What's on the menu tmmrw???
Pull-Ups!! Do 200!
Have a good work out week!
BTW Hilarious!

1 week....
Hey All,
So, after a week of getting back on the grind of things, I find myself a lot more energized.
My diet and workout regiment have changed, but not dramatically. I have basically cut anything that was gluten oriented in my diet. No bread or pasta. I then treated myself to a croissant Sunday morning, for my treat of the week.
My diet enjoyed the presence of a lot of wild rice, sweet potatoes, plenty of fruit and veggies, lean meats and nuts. Although, wild rice is the most expensive of all rice forms, it is the one that gives me the most energy throughout the day. I recommend you try it, plus it is packed with protein.
As far as my workouts, they are back to what they used to be. My workouts fully consist of Calisthenics, cardio and determination!!!!!!!!!
I have been sore than normal because I went in a little too hard, but things will fall into place in no time. As far as this week, I won’t be doing more than just cardio due to two basketball games and a mini marathon on Sunday.
Totally cool gadget....the obol!
I feel I accomplished something significant this week, I hope u did too!

A New Begining...
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh here we go........
After years of avoiding the social media outlets the internet has to offer, I out of all people have decided to start a blog!
Why?
Well, here is the thing; I have not been in the best shape of my life for the last two months or so. The month of April and May were real busy months, which had me pulled in all sorts of directions. On top of that, the last 3 months or so, I been telling myself that I have not been in the best shape physically, I once felt I had. Every week I would tell myself, tomorrow I start being serious with my regiment and before you know it has been two months!
I used to avoid life’s thrills in tasty food, but have found myself over eating all the time recently and eating everything I once deprived myself of eating, I haven’t gotten fat because I still workout, but my diet and workout regiment has not been the same.
The last two months I have felt more tired than normal.......I thought it was all over training (just ask the people I work out with....we go hard), but it wasn’t. I was over eating, working too many hours and not sleeping enough. My immune system was run down. I also felt it when I did the Spartan race this weekend. By the way, coolest and most difficult race I’ve done.
That all changes today......
I will post on this blog, (not every day) to keep myself motivated and others to get off the couch and make something happen. I want people and myself to become their bests!
I can’t wait till tonight’s workout, I still don’t know what type of program I will be doing, but I know I’m going in to give 100%.
On a side note, if you’re looking for tasty cookies that are fully Paleolithic, I suggest you try these....
And folks....be smart working out :)
